Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Runners High Group Limited ("we", "us") collects through the Bet On Yourself app (the "App").
The short version
- Your card details never touch the App. They are entered on a secure web page and held by our payment processor, Stripe.
- Our product analytics are anonymous and not linked to your identity. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and use no advertising identifier.
- We don't sell your data.
1. What we collect
Account / device identity. An anonymous account: a random user ID and a per-device secret in your device Keychain. On supported devices we use Apple's App Attest to confirm the App is genuine. We do not collect your name, email, or phone number to use the App.
Payment information. Card details are entered on a secure web page and stored by Stripe. We receive only a display cache (card brand and last four digits) and processor identifiers needed to place holds and charges. We never see or store your full card number.
Dare records. Amounts, deadlines, outcomes, and any note you add to a miss, to operate the App and your ledger.
Witness name (optional, on device). If you name a witness, that name is stored on your device and used only to address a receipt you choose to send. We do not upload it to analytics and do not contact your witness ourselves.
Anonymous analytics. Anonymous product-usage events (e.g. which onboarding step you reached, whether a practice demo ended done or missed, which stake band you set). These events are tied to a random per-install ID (an "anon_id"), not to your account, name, or card; contain only categories, codes, counts, and timestamps, never free text you entered, your witness's name, or your stated goal; and are used solely for app functionality, not advertising or cross-app tracking.
2. How we use information
To operate dares (place holds, release when you report done, capture when you report a miss), maintain your ledger and receipts, secure the service and prevent fraud, and improve the App via the anonymous analytics above. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Who we share with
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Apple, for App Attest.
- Cloudflare, which hosts our backend and database.
- Authorities, if required by law.
These providers act as our processors and may not use your data for their own purposes beyond providing the service.
4. Retention
We keep dare records and anonymous analytics for as long as needed to operate the App, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes, then delete or anonymize them. After you delete your account, only the anonymous record of charged stakes described in section 5 remains. Payment-data retention is governed by Stripe and applicable rules.
5. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example under PIPEDA, GDPR or CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact support@betonyourselfapp.com. You can delete your account in the App (Sober Setup, then "delete account"). That removes your saved card from Stripe, your dare history and anything you wrote. We keep an anonymous record of stakes that were actually charged (amount, dates, and which Terms version you accepted) for accounting and to answer chargebacks. You can also decline notifications and delete the App (which removes on-device data such as your witness name and settings).
6. Security
Card data lives with Stripe, not in the App. Your account secret is stored in the device Keychain. Money-moving secrets exist only on our server, never in the App.
7. Children
The App is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18, or the age of majority where you live if higher. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in Canada and the United States; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
